Hedlo Turisthytte was originally a mountain farm for the farm Myklathun in Øvre Eidfjord, and is today still owned and run by the same family. Hedlo has been a tourist lodge since 1926.

Hostess Kari Myklathun learned her trade from her mother and grandmother, and has been at Hedlo for more than 30 years. Together with her husband, Ottar, they take care of traditions in a good old-fashioned way at Hedlo.
